Leather

Leather gloves come in three types – Driver/Rigger, Work and Welding Gloves. Leather inherently offers abrasion and heat resistance so each style of glove offers good performance in different work environments. The type of leather used also varies by style. Grain leather is smooth and pliable and split leather is rough in texture and generally cheaper. Cowhide is the strongest and most common leather available. Other leather glove options are pig or goat skin. These leathers are traditionally softer and thinner and used in gloves where dexterity and contact heat is required.
